Professional 2027
Sahaan Sahaan

Penwortham Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Sahaan Sahaan will be our named professional for the 2027 season.

Sahaan joins us following an outstanding 2026 season with fellow Northern League club Lytham, where he established himself as the standout all rounder in the league.

82 wickets in all competitions
Best figures of 7/34 vs Morecambe
800 runs
7 half centuries

We couldn't be happier to welcome Sahaan to Middleforth Green and are incredibly excited to see what he can bring to Penwortham in 2027.

Welcome to Penwortham, Sahaan!

Overseas Amateur 2027
Connor Brown

We are delighted that Connor Brown has agreed to rejoin Penwortham Cricket Club as our Overseas Amateur and Head Coach for the 2027 season.

Connor has been instrumental in the 1st XI during the 2026 campaign, showing a fantastic desire to improve everyone around him through his hard work in training and consistent performances on a Saturday.

The all-rounder has made a big impact on the field, averaging 31 with the bat, including a highest score of 85 not out vs Great Eccleston. He has also taken 16 wickets at an average of 23 in a small sample size this summer. We have no doubt that, over a full season in 2027, Connor will play a major role in taking the club forward.

Reaction from Club Captain, Nathan Walmsley:

“Connor has been a huge help to me as captain and to every single member of the 1st XI squad. I firmly believe Connor is the first step towards building a highly competitive team for 2027. I want to thank the club for securing Connor early, and I know that with a couple more key additions in the coming months, we can already be excited about what 2027 could bring for PCC.”

We can’t wait to have you back at Middleforth Green next summer, Browny!
